Most of you know that I’ve been teaching and playing guitar as a profession for 50 years. I can share little bits and pieces of my experience, knowledge, and skills with you through the every other month magazine columns, of course. But… it isn’t nearly as rewarding as being able to take live one-on-one lessons with me where we can dig into a much deeper level of understanding – and build a custom course just for you, selecting the songs you’d specifically like to work on, etc. My main thing these days is teaching Skype lessons to folks all over the world. It is so invigorating for me to develop arrangements of songs to exactly fit the needs and level of each individual. Just for fun, I thought I’d give you an abbreviated sample of a recent Skype arrangement I came up with for an intermediate level student who wanted to do a little richer harmonization of the Doxology. Here we go. And remember, you can contact me anytime if you would be interested in becoming a Skype student… (firstname.lastname@example.org).
